Tech Billionaire Elon Musk's Watch Collection

Despite being the world’s richest man, Elon Musk lives a simple life. The outspoken tech billionaire is the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, and his latest offer to acquire Twitter was accepted, reducing his net worth by $44 billion.

We’ll look at Musk’s modest lifestyle, despite his $300 Billion net worth and the few luxury items he owns, such as his small watch collection.

What Kind of Watch Does Elon Musk Wear?

Musk was seen wearing two high-end watches, one of which is a bit surprising and the other not so much. Musk reportedly owns a Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 1887 SpaceX Chronograph, which has the SpaceX rocket on the dial and case back.

The limited-edition timepiece was released in 2012 to honor the 50th anniversary of the ‘Luna mission’ since it was the first watch worn in space by John Glenn in 1962. Tag Heuer Carrera only made 2,012 1887 SpaceXChronograph timepieces.

The Chronograph is inspired by the 2915A and has an image of the Friendship 7 spacecraft used for that mission on the dial and display case back.

It is fitting that Musk, owner of a Space company (SpaceX) wears a watch with such rich and out-of-this-world history.

Musk also wore what appeared to be either a Richard Mille RM005 or a Richard Mille RM029. This watch features a skeleton dial with dot indices on the outside, strongly suggesting one of two Richard Mille models.

In 2014 Musk was seen with what appeared to be a Rolex posing in front of a Rocket. The timepiece fits the description of a 36mm DateJust

Musk is attempting to transform transportation on Earth and in space, with his electric car company Tesla Motors and his rocket company SpaceX.

Musk is the man behind companies like PayPal and several other brands that have disrupted multiple industries.

Elon Musk was born and raised in South Africa. Before moving to the United States, he spent time in Canada. The serial entrepreneur studied physics at the University of Pennsylvania.
