The New TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Orange Diver

The Swiss watchmaking powerhouse TAG Heuer is known for its knack for making uber sporty timepieces. The watchmaker is an ecstatic icon when it comes to making luxury sports watches and the newly launched Aquaracer Professional 300 is proof enough. The watch is a testament to the brand’s prowess and boldness as far as the domains of Haute Horlogerie are concerned.

TAG Heuer’s verdict of bringing back a 40 mm variant into its Aquaracer range is honestly one of the most appreciated decisions this year. The Aquaracer Outdoors, also known as the 40 mm Aquaracer, took us all by surprise and left us grinning. When Watches & Wonders began, TAG Heuer added another watch into that 40 mm collection, the Solargraph. This was a solar-fuelled diver’s watch with an all-black colour tone and an atypical approach to luminosity. The watch is, needless to say, brilliant.

However, TAG Heuer has been in the 40 mm playground for too long now and brand finally decided to do something different. This year, we also saw the arrival of the 45 mm Superdiver, a mammoth diveign watch built for the hardcore tool watch worshipper.

Enough with core enthusiasts, anyway. After all, watchmaking is all about inclusivity these days. Keeping this as the end goal, the swiss watchmaker has released the new Aquaracer Professional 300 Orange. The timepiece is the brand’s way of saying that industry norms do not apply to it.

The 43 mm TAG Heuer Aquaracer gives us a familiar form factor in this range, but with a different choice of colour. The watch comes with an orange dial. Orange is a colour that is usually associated with the 1970s but here we are in 2022 with a brand new diver’s watch in our hands.

Honest Opinion

TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 300 Orange

If ever there was a timepiece created with the sole intention of meeting in the middle of mass-appeal and hyper-focused watch mechanics, it has to be this Orange Diver from TAG. This is an exciting option in the vastly popular Aquaracer collection.

The watch offers a 43 mm wide stainless steel case, a ceramic unidirectional bezel with a 60-minute scale. The highlight of the timepiece, however, lies in its water resistance of 300 meters. The date display at the 6 o’clock position turns some heads as well with a magnifying lens on top of it.
